KING PARROT – A Young Person’s Guide to

Posted on 29 June 2025

100%

Do you remember the 90s when Aussie heavy music was its own beast  incomparable to anything else?  King Parrot do, and they want you to remember as well with this album bringing back that 90s grind sound that created broken limbs in small pits throughout RSL halls all over the country.

Mixing the musical chaos with track titles that are individually Australian taken from our vernacular such as Fuck You and the Horse Your Rode In On, a personal favourite saying that now has its own track, or opener Get What Ya Given.

This album is the sound of a band rallying against the injustice they are seeing in a country they love.  A statement that has to be made as so many are being blinded by their devices and what some algorithm thinks they should believe in.

This is raw musical aggression that sees KP strip back their already bare bones approach so stop pissing about and wrap your lugholes around some genuine Australian grind. Support your local bastards now already!
