Shelved Nunchukka Superfly Debut to Finally be Released

Posted on 29 March 2024

Soon after putting The Hard-Ons aside for a while, Blackie and Ray formed the experimental rock outfit Nunchukka Superfly in 1995 with Peter Allen of Massappeal and Harpoon vocalist James McCann. The band was an immediate success, playing festivals and high-profile support shows. Unfortunately personal volatility broke them apart fairly soon, but not before they recorded Nunchukka Superfly 95 in a single day. What was meant to be their debut was shelved instead, to be resurrected at long last almost thirty years later.

Pre-orders are now being taken for vinyl versions of the album on red (100 only) or black, with the single “Jacket” available now. Go here to get one.
