Following on from the news earlier this week that Kiwi gods Shihad are calling it quits, Melbourne’s Void of Vision announced today that they will finish up next year after a final national headline tour.
After a journey of just over a decade and four albums of forward-thinking metalcore that saw them tour with Slipknot and Parkway Drive, among others, the band announced the end after a tour with Gideon, UnityTX and Knosis in February.
“If you told me 15 years ago where our music would take us and where we are now, I straight up wouldn’t believe it”, vocalist Jack Bergin said in a statement. Bergin has struggled with his health recently after the rupturing of an arteriovenuos malformation in his brain almost killed him. “The dream we started straight out of high school was meant to be a product of its time, and I truly believe that it was… today we happily conclude that time has come to a fulfilling end.”
